Midge's Muffins Welcome to Midge's Muffins - Home of gluten free, milk and egg free muffins that are moist and tasty for everyone to enjoy. Who is Midge? Actually, my name is Robin M. Green, but my older brother branded me with the name "Midge" when I was about 7 years old and has been calling me that ever since. I am the mother of 2 wonderful children, who keep me busy with soccer, music and other school activities. We also have a lovable basset hound, who thinks she is a lap dog. I started Midge's Muffins in 2007 in Grand Rapids, Michigan after years of baking milk and egg fee muffins for family and friends. Gluten free was a foreign word to me until friends were diagnosed with celiac disease and couldn't eat my original recipe anymore. So, after some research and many trial and errors, Midge's Muffins went 100% gluten free in 2008, as I found that my gluten free recipe tasted as good (if not better) than my original recipe. We now have 6 varieties of gluten free, milk and egg free muffins that are moist and tasty for everyone to enjoy (chocolate chip is my favorite). Midge's Muffins uses quality ingredients, including organic evaporated cane sugar, along with several quality ingredients from Michigan such as apples, cherries, honey and organic blueberries. No artificial coloring, flavoring or preservatives are used in our muffins. We are also a nut free company in honor of my youngest niece, who has a nut allergy. We are also working on being environmentally friendly by making sure all fruit scraps are used as compost and by recycling all paper and plastic products. We are licensed by the Michigan Department of Agriculture. Thank you for visiting Midge's Muffins and enjoy some muffins today. Robin M. Green (a.k.a. Midge) Mission Statement Midge's Muffins mission is to bake and prepare quality gluten free muffins and batter that are milk and egg free using all natural ingredients. Special Thank You & Notes: I would like to thank GROW (Grand Rapids Opportunity for Women) for giving me the tools to start my business and "grow".
