Midge's Muffins

Welcome to Midge's Muffins - Home of gluten free, milk and egg free muffins that are moist and tasty for everyone to enjoy.

Who is Midge?  Actually, my name is Robin M. Green, but my older brother branded me with the name "Midge" when I was about 7 years old and has been calling me that ever since.  I am the mother of 2 wonderful children, who keep me busy with soccer, music and other school activities.  We also have a lovable basset hound, who thinks she is a lap dog.

I started Midge's Muffins in 2007 in Grand Rapids, Michigan after years of baking milk and egg fee muffins for family and friends.

Gluten free was a foreign word to me until friends were diagnosed with celiac disease and couldn't eat my original recipe anymore.  So, after some research and many trial and errors, Midge's Muffins went 100% gluten free in 2008, as I found that my gluten free recipe tasted as good (if not better) than my original recipe.  We now have 6 varieties of gluten free, milk and egg free muffins that are moist and tasty for everyone to enjoy (chocolate chip is my favorite).

Midge's Muffins uses quality ingredients, including organic evaporated cane sugar, along with several quality ingredients from Michigan such as apples, cherries, honey and organic blueberries.  No artificial coloring, flavoring or preservatives are used in our muffins.  We are also a nut free company in honor of my youngest niece, who has a nut allergy.

We are also working on being environmentally friendly by making sure all fruit scraps are used as compost and by recycling all paper and plastic products.  We are licensed by the Michigan Department of Agriculture.

Thank you for visiting Midge's Muffins and enjoy some muffins today.

Robin M. Green (a.k.a. Midge)

  • While shopping at Kalamazoo's Sawall's Health Foods just before Christmas, I was pleased and surprised to discover that GROW graduate Robin Green's "Midge's Muffins" (dairy-, gluten-, and egg-free!) were on sale in the freezer section.  We are so happy that Robin is expanding her market share--great job, Robin!  To see her complete list of locations that carry her products or to contact her directly, visit her website.

I received the following email from "Nicole", the contact person for the Gluten Free Camp held at Camp Manitou-Lin in August 2008.

HI Robin,
.......Let me tell you a story about your muffins..............I WAS MOBBED!
OK, So, I was walking in the dinning area with your muffins, three containers in each hand and they were just calling to the children! By the time I got to put them on the table, I could'nt get out of those kids waiting for me to open them. THEY were so popular. Now that was just the second time I put them out. IT happened the next several times I put them out as well. Wished we would have gotten a picture of that.
Nicole
